When things don’t turn out the way they were supposed to|christian counselors in Fort Worth Texas
I think that one of the more painful things of life is the thought that your life hasn’t turned out the way you imagined it. I have faced these thoughts more than once in my life. The anguish of this can affect your life in different ways.
1. If can cause self-doubt in one’s life
With many of the temperaments having to deal with low self-esteem to begin with, self-doubt simply adds more pressure that we don’t need.
2. It can cause one to reach out to self-medicate.
Alcohol, drugs or even food are the choice for many of my patients who feel the need to self-medicate and these can be destructive in life or marriage.
3. It can cause us to withdraw from people or loved ones.
When we feel the pain of a life gone wrong we will tend to blame those around us including spouses, children or even co-workers.
The list goes on and on but the answer lies within yourself. Where your strengths lie is vital to success in this area. Call The Penewit Center today
