One of the traits of the Melancholy temperament in inclusion is that they fear rejection, and this causes them to reject before they can be rejected. The Melancholy will actually project rejection where no rejection exists. This one trait is the cause of many emotional difficulties in this temperament and is the root cause of many marital problems. The fear of rejection in the Melancholy makes intimate communication nearly impossible.
