We may all be tempted to quit, but each of the 5 temperaments will resist quitting as an option. A Choleric will not quit because they have the strength within their temperament to keep going, and because they are exceptional people motivators…they will build a team and get the job done one way or the other. A Melancholy, being a great thinker and having high intellectual energies will think things through and get the job done.
When faced with interpersonal difficulties the 5 temperaments will approach quitting as an option differently. Some temperaments fear rejection and will “beat you to the reject” meaning that they will reject you before you reject them. So in effect, they quit before they make a conscious decision to quit as an option.
