It takes an average of about 28 days to create a habit that will last. If you ask others the figure works out to more like an average of 66 days. Creating a habit that will work for you can take some doing…but it is well worth the effort. For example, if you learn what your spouses temperament needs are and choose one specific trait that they need met…such as a Sanguine who needs to be around people a significant amount of the time, and you make a habit of taking them to where there are people 2 nights a week…that habit will become easier to do after a maximum of about 66 days or less.
Working on good habits for yourself are worth the effort too. Bible study before work every day will have a major positive impact on your work and social performance. Exercise is easier than yo think if you keep a steady pace for the time it takes to make it a habit. Knowing “what makes you tick” will assist you in knowing how to approach creating positive habits that will last a lifetime. In the same way, The Penewit Center can help you reverse harmful habits that may be plaguing you….Call our office!
