Finding skills and talents
How many times have you said to yourself, “I know I can make a million dollars I just have to figure out how” The economy hasn’t affected The Dallas/Ft Worth area as hard as it has in other areas of the country, and in fact, Texas has outperformed the rest of the US in job creation. (http://recenter.tamu.edu/pdf/1862.pdf) It seems that economy slows “the creative mind” down to a crawl, but there is a way to make the economy bring money right to your door.
I’ll make this short and sweet. What you are doing now isn’t necessarily what you are best at. I didn’t realize my writing skills until just a few years ago. I would have never thought that what I was doing at the time wasn’t “the money-maker” for me. The key is knowing what you can do and what you cannot do based on your temperament. I have worked with professionals who were literally falling apart because they were not suited for their careers. You may be in a “people person” job and have a temperament that can’t be around many people. Knowing your temperament is the key to having that creativity flow or having it slow to a crawl.
