Addiction is Taking Over My Life
You, or a family member, may be struggling with addiction. You may also be struggling with finding help, or even, telling a loved one.
If you have a family member struggling with addiction, you may be having a hard time understanding their addiction and talking to them about it. You may also be feeling angry or resentful towards that family member.
I am overwhelmed by my family members addicition…I don’t know what to do.
The truth is there is not much you can do without their willingness to get help. It is important to understand that you cannot force them to make the changes needed, but there are some things you can do.
First of all, if you are enabling them in any way to continue with their addiction, it is important you stop. You do not want to be part of the resources they are using to stay addicted.
Also, you may also need help and support. It can be very difficult to deal with someone with addiction. It is important that you are getting the emotional help and support you need. Also, pray for your loved one. Ask the Holy Spirit to work on their behalf.
I am struggling with addiction and need help.
If you are struggling with addiction it is important that you get professional help. It is nearly impossible to overcome addiction on your own. There is an underlying issue that needs to be addressed and a need for emotional support.
Also, it would be beneficial to find out your temperament so that there is understanding about how you are feeling and the emotional struggles you are going through. It would also help your family members understand you and how to help you.
