Jesus referred to us as the salt of the earth so knowing just what flavor of salt you are makes all the difference in the world. So what flavor of salt are you? Let us continue looking at the five temperaments and we will know exactly what type of salt we’re really are! Becoming Salty 2
What type of salt am I?
If you’ve read the first blog becoming salty you have read that we covered the Melancholy and the Sanguine But the these are two types of temperaments that have specific characteristics just like salt does. So let’s look at the final three temperaments in our study.
The Choleric
If we were to compare of this temperament to salt you would notice the taste of it right away! When you taste this salt you will realize that a little goes a long way. The Choleric temperament is a leadership temperament, and this temperament will always make sure that you know they are in charge. This temperament can do anything they set their mind to…any place, anywhere! The old saying is true ” this world needs a good leader” and The Choleric is it. The Choleric does have problems of its own and may find themselves without a family without a mate and without a life.
The Supine
If we were to compare The Supine temperament to salt we would find that the supine would have a very gentle far reaching flavor. The Supine cannot make decisions very easily… And they have no desire to cause anyone emotional or physical harm. The Supine can however, reach people that are hurting and help them heal in ways that none of the other four temperaments can’t even come close to. The supine will always need the help of others in this is where mental anguish can come in to their lives.
The Phlegmatic
The Phlegmatic temperament is the easiest to going temperament of all five. This is actually God’s blending temperament and he uses this temperament to blended in with the other temperaments. An example of this might be that god might not want an individual to be a straight melancholy so he will blend the phlegmatic temperament into the melancholy. The result is the melancholy phlegmatic! God will use this blending temperament with all of the other temperaments if he so desires. The phlegmatic has a weakness though just like the others, the phlegmatic has low emotional energy and will have difficulty working on a project for a long period of time.
