Whatever it takes to lose
In a world of the “win” mentality, losing isn’t something that we want to hear…and I think this holds true for weight loss as well. Losing weight takes a denial and this denial isn’t easy. Paying attention to what our desires tell is is something that is taught to us from a very early age. We see commercials that tell us to obey our primal desires, so when it comes to denying the flesh where weight loss is concerned…it doesn’t seem to make much sense. Denying our emotions that cause us to eat, or the feelings that cause us to turn to food is something that we will battle the rest of our lives. As I have been saying all along…there are ways or dealing with weight loss that make it easier to deal with. I want to re-cap these.
1. Learn your temperament. Contact The Penewit Center and schedule a time to get your profile done, this is the beginning of your healing. If you are out of the state of Texas we can do Skype sessions.
2. Begin a life of “accountability” by starting a free online course called The Lords Table. Here you will learn how to look at food and your situation differently.
3. Have regular sessions with us so that you will learn why you are choosing food as a drug.
