Healing from Rejection
Rejection can have a severe affect on your life. Whether the rejection is true or perceived really does not matter. Knowing that we are not alone, and learning to heal from that rejection is what is important.
Jesus also faced rejection when he was here on earth. In Matthew 21:42 it says, “The stone rejected by the builders has now become the cornerstone. This is the Lords doing, and it is marvelous to see.”
Even though Jesus was rejected and forsaken by men on earth, his heavenly Father never rejected or abandoned him and he is now our strong cornerstone.
Our heavenly Father will not ever abandoned or reject us. In Psalms 68:5-6 it says that he is, “Father to the fatherless, defender of widow–this is God, whose dwelling is holy. God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy.”
There is so much comfort that we can have in knowing this. He is our father, our defender, and our chain breaker. The place we are with him is a holy place and a place where we can find peace. We may still feel rejection in our lives, but we have a Father that will help us with this burden; we just have to open ourselves up to him and ask him for help.
